the window position is now saved. So when you move the widget and shut it down, next time you start it, it will use the last position.

added a switch item to the tray/icon menu with all your trackers. This way you don’t have to open the widget to switch, you can just switch from the tray.

the settings panel is now in a separate window

added autostart functionality. When enable, you will autostart your default tracker on startup (if not tracking already)

added autostop functionality. When enabled, you will autostop working when exiting the widget

In case of lost internet connection (just coming out of hibernation, network down, …) the widget kept going and you were not able to do anything with it. We’ve fixed this and the widget will timeout after 15 seconds.

As mentioned in yesterday’s blog post, some users were experiencing connection problems using the Yahoo widget.

In collaboration with one of our users, Adrian Gawrys, we were able to determine the problem. It turned out that we weren’t escaping usernames (or password) which might contain url-obstructive characters, resulting in a mall-formed url and a failure to load that url. At the same time we have made the ‘unable to connect’-message give a more detailled story.

Anyhow, download the latest widget and everything should be fine.

PS: we’re still looking for Adobe Air widget developers.

After a few days of testing we got plenty of feedback resulting in a big update. Use our new & improved time widget to track your time from your desktop (download here ).

What's new ?

New features :

added option "open urls": this option will allow us to open an url from your widget. In the future we will use this to inform you about widget updates, conflicting time blocks or other urgent issues that need your immediate attention.

added option : "automatic attendance tracking" : when this option is enabled, the widget will automatically start tracking your attendance as soon as the widget is loaded (or when you start your computer)

added option : "stop on close" : this option will automatically stop your time tracking session as soon as the widget (or your computer) is closed.

added option : "choose your display" : choose wether you want to use the widget in small / large view (see screenshots)

new feature : timeblock comments : when closing a time block (after you have worked on a single project) you can enter a description. This description will be stored together with the timeblock details for future reference.

bugfix : parsing errors when pressing stop multiple times

bugfix : parsing errors when there is no internet connection

You don't believe we did all that in a few days ? Check out some screenshots below.

Widget preferences

Right click your widget and select "widget preferences" to set these options.
