As you might have notices a few days ago, there is a new feature on the site with Automated Reports. Well, we’ve improved it a bit. We moved the navigation under My Timesheet.

You can now choose between “Tabular” (like it was before) or “Cumulated”.

A cumulated report is a custom report where the timeblocks are grouped by a time unit (day/week/month).

Another improvement in the cumulated report, is the fact that you can group the sheets per user/tracker.

You can see a preview when creating/editing a new report. Or if you just wish to make a one time stylesheet, you just press the “get excel preview” button and you don’t save the automated report.

TrackMyPeople wants to be the best. And to become that nr 1 time tracking solution, we are fully aware we need to constantly improve our services to walk that 'extra mile'. For that same reason we are very proud to announce a new feature : custom user & project reports. For now we added the most important charts, if you have any specific reports in mind that will help you run your business easier, please let us know , we might add it…

On the "manage users" & "manage projects" pages you can now see a little icon in front. Use this icon to go to the reporting page. You should see something like this :

If you are listed as a project/company manager, you should be able to switch to other users or projects.

You can now create custom reports using the dateslider

If you play with these sliders (available on day/week/month page) you should be able to create reports like :

These reports will give you a better overview of a certain users time punching behaviour or general projects activity

Pretty impressive for a free time tracking solution, isn't it ?
Please let us know what you think about it, we'll be adding more reports pretty soon.

We are proud to announce the 'export to excel' feature. From now on you can analyse your employees timesheets offline, just use the 'export to excel' button below the timesheet listing to receive an excel of your records.

Keep in mind that this features keeps the current filtering in account,
that means if you are looking at data of employee "John Doe" you will
receive an excel time sheet with records of this user only.

Please note the generated excel files are in open office format, that means you need Microsoft Office 2007+. I know i know, alot of you are using older versions of the office suite, that's why we will be adding support for older excel versions. But if you already want to open the current spreadsheets use <strike>a decent</strike> an office suite like openoffice, star office or Google Docs. It's totally free (unlike other office suites).

We'll be adding support for multiple cultures (format the date/time just you want it), adding formulas for totals and improve the layout in the upcoming days
