There is a 1.0.5 version out of the Adobe Air widget with some small bug fixes:

• bugfix : authentication failure due to special characters in the password
• bugfix : posting of description at when registering timeblock
• bugfix : reloading trackers when switching users
• feature : progress icon showing activity when the tracker is doing something
• feature : right click in system tray now allows you to stop/start tracking
• feature : hovering over title bar/tray icon will now show you which project you are working on, and for how long
• feature : stop/start buttons will give you a visual aid to show you when you are already tracking/stopped

Keep sending suggestions/feedback to make this tool even better !

As you can see we are moving forward with TrackMyPeople. And again we are glad to announce some new functionality.

Archiving Trackers

Due to popular request we added some new functionality allowing you to ‘archive’ project/clients/companies. Archived trackers will not appear anymore when you are tracking time (pssst, check out out brand new air widget !).

No data is lost, we only archive the tracker so it’s not being displayed anymore. You can ‘unarchive’ projects as well.

‘Quick-Create’ tracker

To make it even easier to create ‘sub projects’ the tracker tree now contains a ‘new’ button allowing you to create a subtracker for that project without leaving the page. This way you can quickly set-up the hierarchical structure of your company without going through several forms/pages & submits.

We are glad to announce that we created a new desktop widget.  This widget is based on the Adobe Air 1.5 platform.

The widget now has a username/password validator.

We’ve also expanded our API with extra functions (including the acountValidation function used above).

We are proud to introduce the new tracker (project/company) dashboard pages. This page will give you an instant overview of the time tracking activity for the selected tracker.

The most important parts on this page :

• general graph of project activity (all users)
• time totals for today/yesterday/this & last week/this & last month/this year/alltime
• overview of totals er user account
• pie chart time tracking share each user has

We are happy to announce some new functionality. The tracker (company/project/task) pages can now show your online timesheet in a calendar view.

Incase you have multiple users tracking time for the same project or company, the weekly/day calendar will give you an instant overview of the activity for your project.

If the week view becomes cluttered (that would be the case if you have 10+ users tracking their time for the same day/project) you can always use the “day view” to get a better overview.

After our upgrade, as mentioned here, the site is back up and running.

Although we have thoroughly cleaned our code, some bugs still may occur… But don’t worry: if they occur, we’ll be right on ‘em.
You may still use our bug tracker to report any bugs.

PS: some features have not yet been ported to the new system, but they we’ll be in the coming days, so no bug tickets about that please…

We’re performing infrastructural changes tomorrow at 9AM  Brussels time (what time is that for you?).  TrackMyPeople will be unavailable for approximately 1-2 hours while we make some upgrades to our service infrastructure as well as update the system.

Our core framework will be updated to a new version and we have extended/refactored some of the base TrackMyPeople code:

• optimized page loads;
• optimized queries & query counts;
• some bugfixes;
• switched from scriptaculous to jQuery;

which should lead to a faster and better experience

Note: some of the current functionality will not be available for a few days, since we are still working on these:

• invite users/friends;
• graphs;
• automated reports;
